OUR MATERIALS
AWT Agricultural Netting exclusively utilizes PLUS NET Shade Cloths, produced by PlusNet/Geotex, a division of Master Plastics Group, based in Gauteng. Established in 1995, Geotex expanded its offerings with the PlusNet range in 2000, supplying profiled yarns to the plastics textile industry.
Today, PlusNet/Geotex operates a state-of-the-art, fully integrated production facility, delivering innovative products for the agricultural, commercial, and civil sectors.
Following a thorough analysis, our engineering team has developed a construction system capable of withstanding severe wind and storm conditions.
Our designs accommodate maximum dimensions of 300 meters by 300 meters, utilizing a 12 mm fully galvanized stay wire anchor system.
AWT Agricultural Netting employs a dedicated Land Surveyor to create precise maps and establish every setting point using GPS technology.
SPECIFICATIONS & DIMENSIONS
Anchor Specifications:
Our anchors consist of a 16 mm x 18 m galvanized round bar and a 250 mm x 1.8 m log, securely buried at a depth of 1.8 meters. This anchor design is engineered to withstand forces of approximately 8 tons and is installed at an angle of no less than 45 degrees. All anchors are secured with 12 mm fully galvanized stay wire, featuring a fully galvanized Vine line double wrap anchor and pole grip.
Pole Options:
AWT Agricultural Netting primarily uses Creosote H5 poles; however, we can install CCA poles upon client request. Our specifications include:

Anchor poles are secured with 11 mm fully galvanized Vine line double wrap pole grips.

Wire Specifications:
We employ a 2.24 mm fully galvanized wire, which is threaded into the netting. The connection between the wire and the net is secured using a 23 mm hog ring.
